Bike training information

The club has the following common sessions (please check the calendar for any temporary changes)
  • Saturday ride @ 9.00am
    • Starts 9.00am at the Pump House on the docks at Hotwells. There are three main groups - a 15 mile, a 25 mile, and a long (>40 mile) ride. We also have longer rides for members wishing to do 50 mile+ sessions. All 3 pre-planned routes will be posted in advance on the home page in downloadable PDF format for members to print out. Please read our advice page if you are new to the club or to group riding. It contains important information on speed, safety and other aspects of riding with BADTri. Pumphouse directions: 8 Merchants Rd, Hotwells, Bristol, BS8 4PZ.
  • Tuesday Spinning @ 7.30pm
    • Welshback Gym, on waterfront by Queen Square. Each class is an hour long, and will consist of interval training, encouragement (read: shouting) and uplifting specially-mixed "go-faster" music. On the first of each month (at least), each class can be followed by a run in Queen Square if you wish. To book your place please use the online booking system. Make sure you bring your £3 and a drink!
  • Tuesday Turbo @ 7.30pm
    • Welshback Gym, on waterfront by Queen Square. A session which uses your own bike and turbo trainer to focus on skills and fitness for an hour. It can be followed by a run if you wish. To book your place please use the online booking system then just turn up with your bike, turbo, towel, drink and £3. We do have a few turbos available to hire for an extra £1. If you would like to hire one please e-mail coaching@badtri.org at least 24 hrs before.
